About Us
The Co-op Family Center has been serving University of Oregon student families, faculty, and community members in Eugene, Oregon for over forty years. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we provide affordable, high-quality education while emphasizing family involvement and community support.
At the Co-op, we support children's natural process of learning through inquiry by guiding them as they learn to OBSERVE, INVESTIGATE, COMMUNICATE, and ENJOY the world within and around them. Our objectives include providing affordable quality childcare, involving parents in education, improving parenting skills, serving as a model for cooperative childcare benefits, and emphasizing family focus. Our goals are to recognize each child's capabilities, cultivate supportive relationships, empower self-expression, and foster nature appreciation.

About the Opportunity
Our Board currently consists of dedicated Co-op parents, and we are eager to welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds who share our commitment to supporting children's experiences. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in fundraising, marketing, and those who can expand our network in Eugene/Lane County. Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings and serve on standing committees.
